This recognition reflects more than thirty years of medical work devoted to improving the diagnosis and treatment of complex gynecological and pelvic disorders — always with one central goal: to reduce suffering and restore quality of life for patients.

From Less Invasive Surgery to Better Recovery

In the 1990s, I was among the surgeons who introduced and developed laparoscopic surgery in gynecology, allowing women to benefit from less invasive procedures, faster recovery, and better long-term outcomes, particularly in endometriosis and gynecologic oncology.

Later, my work focused on nerve-sparing surgical techniques, aiming not only to treat disease, but also to preserve essential pelvic functions such as bladder control, bowel function, sexuality, and mobility.

Understanding Pain at Its Source: Neuropelveology

Over the years, it became increasingly clear that many chronic pelvic symptoms could not be explained by organs alone. This led to the development of neuropelveology, a medical approach centered on the pelvic nerves and their role in pain and functional disorders.

For many patients, this perspective opened new diagnostic possibilities and, in selected cases, access to causal treatments instead of lifelong symptomatic therapy.

Looking Forward: New Therapeutic Perspectives

The evolution of this work now extends to neuromodulation and bioelectronic medicine, offering new hope for patients suffering from pelvic dysfunctions when conventional treatments have failed. These developments are based on decades of clinical experience and a deep understanding of pelvic neuroanatomy.

A Personal Message to Patients

This distinction is not an endpoint. It is a reminder of responsibility.
